Introducing a groundbreaking approach to mathematics education, the Maths Club at St. Benedict’s College, Colombo, pioneers the concept of creating a profound sense of mathematics. Under the guidance of Janaka Rodrigo, Master in Charge, our vision is to cultivate exploratory skills, foster mathematical thinking, and nurture the growth of young mathematicians.

Senior Lecturer and former head of the Department of Mathematics at the University of Kelaniya, Dr. (Mrs.) Kissani Perera’s unwavering commitment and profound mathematical sense have played a pivotal role since the inception of the Maths Club Project, aimed at instilling a deeper understanding and creating a sense of mathematics in Sri Lanka’s mathematics education for the first time.
